The OHE Summit is open to education stakeholders who are committed to articulating, elevating, and activating “‘O Hawai‘i ke kahua o ka ho‘ona‘auao,” grounding to Hawai‘i as the foundation for learning.

OHE Summit Goals
He ‘aha kēia e ho‘oki‘eki‘e i ka ‘ike o ka po‘e a me ke kāko‘o ‘ana i ka ‘ike ‘ana i ka waiwai o Hawai‘i nei ma ka nohona a ma ke kaiāulu ho‘i, i mea e ulu a‘e ka hoi a me ka hiki ke ‘ike, ‘o Hawai‘i nō ke kahua o ka ho‘ona‘auao.
The summit will be an opportunity to celebrate and honor the experience of participants and to support them in recognizing the abundance of Hawaiʻi in their lives and communities so they feel inspired and empowered to uplift Hawaiʻi as the foundation for learning for themselves and others.
This summit will ask participants to explore and recognize the strengths, knowledge and experiences that uniquely provide for the sustainability of our places. In doing so, we uplift kīpuka that feed a process of reforestation that builds the capacity for sustainable ecosystems to nourish diverse literacies and various schools of knowledge, allowing individuals to make unique contributions to the resilience and sustainability of their communities. Each experience throughout the summit will connect to this theme and help participants ground in the importance of striving for excellence in all that we do as Hawaiʻi.
